MASTERS

The MCC Masters Racing program is designed for both experienced and beginner paddlers. This established and well-delivered training program is designed for men and women who are interested in developing and maintaining their skills in sprint canoe/kayak. The goal of MCC’s Masters Program is to best prepare our members for the competitions that include the Canadian Masters Championships (CANMAS). Participants should be over the age of 21 to enroll in this program

SPRING/SUMMER PROGRAM

The program includes general strength and aerobic fitness work on and off the water in addition to on-water sprint canoe/kayak technical training.

Program runs: April 1 – October 31, 2024
Monday to Thursday: 6:30 to 8:00 pm

PROGRAM COST: $800 + HST
Volunteer requirements: 3 + 1 for Nationals

FALL/WINTER TRAINING PROGRAM

Program runs: October 30 – March 2 (no practices December 23 – January 7)

Monday 7:30pm-8:30pm ‘HiiT’ Workout

Thursday 6:30pm-7:30pm ‘HiiT’ Workout
Thursday 7:30pm-8:30pm Paddle Pool Workout

Friday 6:00am-7:00am Swimming Workout
Friday 9:30am-10:30am ‘HiiT’ Workout
Friday 4:00pm-5:00pm Hot Yoga (twice monthly)

Saturday 9:00am-11:00am Cardio (walk, run, cycle)

PROGRAM COST: $400

*Practices may be indoors due to inclement weather. Very likely that training will take place indoors during April 
*All participants are required to purchase a club-racing singlet ($56.50) in order to compete. Please order your singlet as an add-on when you register online.
*The registration fees DO NOT include entry to entry fees to Provincial and National Team Trials as well as fees to local regattas hosted by WOD or WOD Clubs. The registration fee DOES include entry fees to the WOD Trials, CKO Provincial Championships, and the CKC National Championships.
*Program fees are only refundable within 30 days of the start date of the program and all refunds are subject to a withdrawal fee of $50 plus any credit card fees are non-refundable
*The registration fees don’t include boat storage. If boat storage is required for 2023, please select the boat storage add-on
*Registration is not complete until payment has been submitted to the club

Mandated by the City of Mississauga

Mayor Crombie declared a State of Emergency for Mississauga on March 23rd to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. All facilities within the City’s 500+ parks are now closed which includes community tennis club courts and the recreation facilities owned by the City. All non-essential businesses are to close.
