YOUTH RACING

MCC’s core values of achieving individual and team excellence within a safe and fun environment will be fostered in this program. The Youth Racing Program is intended for young participants aged 8 – 14 years old (as of January 1, 2024) who are excited at the potential of excelling at a new sport or simply keen on continued development in Canoe/Kayak.

The Mississauga Canoe Club will provide paddle equipment and boats. Paddlers must arrive with their own appropriately personal floatation device (PFD), lunch (for full day), snack and water bottle.

This is an exceptional program that will build lifelong skills while enhancing the development of every athlete.

Swimming Requirement: Canadian Red Cross Swim Kids Level 6 or equivalent.

SPRING/SUMMER YOUTH RACING PROGRAM

MCC’s Youth Racing (U12/U14) spring/summer program provides developing paddlers a fun and competitive environment in Olympic sprint canoe/kayak. Athletes will be developed through off-water workouts, on-water training and various local and provincial-level competitions.
