SPECIAL OLYMPICS

Recreational canoes and kayaks are used to introduce paddlers with intellectual and developmental disabilities to the sport of paddling. All equipment is provided. The program includes a safety orientation, technical instruction, and instruction by experienced coaches. Each paddler will have an experienced paddling partner/coach for 1:2 support ratio.

Paddlers must be comfortable on the water and be able to follow instructions, especially related to safety for themselves and others.

*Swimming Requirement: Canadian Red Cross “Swim Kids Level 6 or equivalent*

Participants should contact the Head Coach for additional information

Temporary Club Closure

Mandated by the City of Mississauga

Mayor Crombie declared a State of Emergency for Mississauga on March 23rd to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. All facilities within the City’s 500+ parks are now closed which includes community tennis club courts and the recreation facilities owned by the City. All non-essential businesses are to close.
