Learn to Paddle/SUP
The Mississauga Canoe Club in co-operation with the City of Mississauga delivers these programs.
The outdoor kayak program teaches basic skills and water safety in order to get you paddling in canoes and kayaks immediately.
Stand Up Paddling (SUP) offers full-body cardio & muscular workout as well as tests and trains our core and balance. SUP boards are more portable than a canoe or most kayaks, and standing on the board gives you a higher vantage point to view your surroundings and what’s happening on the Credit River.
The ability to swim is required as the program takes place on the Credit River and an average fitness level is recommended.
All the necessary equipment will be provided including personal floatation device.
Programs run rain or shine so please dress accordingly.
